Main directions of scientific / professional interests Theory and history of public administration. Current issues of theory and practice of national security in key areas.
Our group is conducting the research on the sphere of Theory and history of public administration, Current issues of theory and practice of national security in keys areas; Public service in Ukraine in the context of European integration; The confrontation of powerful geopolitical players - key actors in the European security system; problems and miscalculations in Western democracies.
Goals
Improvement of organization of activity on effective implementation of institutional building instruments, professional development of civil servants, and raising awareness on the Global and National Security and European integration issues.
Objectives
• participation in the preparation of proposals on formation of public policy and law-making activity in the area of national security, civil service and public administration, development of state institutions, implementation of institution building instruments in Ukraine;
• scientific, expert, informational and analytical, methodological, organizational and other support to preparation and implementation of programs and activities in the specified area;
• advisory support to government authorities and local self-government authorities, dissemination of legal, scientific information on the problem of global and national security, civil service and public administration, and development of state institutions in the context of European integration of Ukraine, etc.
Scientific achievements were implemented in the work of public authorities, in particular, in the preparation of the first National Security Strategy of Ukraine (2007).
The main disciplines of teaching: History and theory of public administration and administration, Public administration in the field of national security, Foreign policy and national security, Institutional principles of the national security system, Strategic planning in the field of national security.
